Prime Minister Edi Rama insisted once again that only the Socialist Party can advance Albania's accession process to the European Union, writes A2 CNN. He said that, despite the fact that the EU cannot comment on the electoral process in our country, he would never say so even if he thought about it.
"The EU does not decide who wins and who loses the elections in Albania, nor does it link its policy to who is elected in Albania. But what I am saying is that there is no other force that can carry out this mission. The EU cannot determine this. Even if they think about it, they will never say it," Rama said at a press conference with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
Asked about Prime Minister Rama's statements that if there were a rotation in Albania after May 11, the accession process would slow down, she responded diplomatically. "This journey requires the cooperation of all parties. For this, support is needed. In Albania, all citizens have given their support for Albania's membership in the EU.
