SPAK has developed a strategy and established a Task Force for the prevention and punishment of electoral crimes. However, there is a lack of trust on the part of Sali Berisha's opposition.

Oerd Bylykbashi, the deputy leader of the Democratic Party, an expert on electoral issues, was invited to the show "Çdo kënt me Merita Haklajn" on A2 CNN, where he spoke about this issue.

Bylykbashi stated that, strangely, we have two types of prosecutors in the Constitution, but with very well-defined duties, however, according to him, nothing has been done, at least so far.

"Even after 25 years, we continue and carry out electoral reforms. While we carry out electoral reforms, we add articles, fill it with laws, but nothing changes, it gets worse. There was a period where there was an improvement in elections, 2003-2013 where there were two political rotations, which are a good indicator, while we have a dramatic situation in these last 12 years. This is also what the international community says.

Why is this happening? First of all, why do foreigners have to tell us? Nothing changes here. Strangely, we have two types of prosecutors in the Constitution, but with very well-defined tasks. They have the power to do a lot, but so far they have done nothing. When they do, it is too little and too late. It does not produce the effect. If we today have a culture of impunity in elections, it has produced the electoral state. The state is not simply politicized, they are the electoral mechanism to rob the elections. If this has happened, it has happened for a reason: these important law enforcement bodies have done nothing", Bylykbashi said on A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
