Alfred Beleri makes the next attempt to be released from the cell

Alfred Beleri, the elected but unnamed mayor of Himara, makes the next attempt to break free from the cell.

While he has been in detention since May 12, Beleri has gone to the Supreme Court for the third time, where he requests the removal of the security measure "arrest in prison".

This security measure, as well as the up to now rejection of his requests for a special permit, have not created an opportunity for Alfred Beleri to swear in front of the Municipal Council and assume the office of mayor. Earlier, the Supreme Court rejected two requests of Beler to change the security measure.

Currently, Beleri is being tried in the Special Court for the charge of "corruption in the elections" and the process is in the stage of questioning the witnesses of the prosecution. According to SPAK, he promised sums of money in exchange for secure votes in the May 14 election process.  (A2 Televizion)
