Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the Giro d'Italia, a major international cycling event that will start in Albania this year, will be followed by around 800 million viewers on over 200 television channels around the world.
Rama made the comments through a video published on his Facebook page, where he said that this event will expose the beauties of our country to foreigners and will be a great incentive for the development of tourism.
He also said that this is the first time that an event of such magnitude takes place in Albania, since according to him, during the previous governments, these things could not even be imagined to happen in our country, writes A2 CNN.
"Soon we are leaving for Rome, for the public presentation of the Giro D'Italia. One of the biggest annual sports events that is broadcast by 200 TVs around the world. This year, Albania has been chosen as the country of the big launch.
