The Italian Embassy reacts to the situation in the Parliament: The parties should cooperate, the Assembly should exercise its duty

After the American, British and German embassies in Tirana, the Italian embassy in our country has also reacted regarding the latest developments in the Parliament. The last session was characterized by tensions and smoke from flares lit by opposition MPs, while the majority passed the budget for 5 minutes.

The Italian Embassy calls on the parties to work together to ensure that the Parliament can exercise its duty in the interest of all citizens.

"The Embassy of Italy in Tirana expresses concern about the latest developments in the Albanian Parliament. A functioning Parliament and a fruitful dialogue between elected MPs are essential for the proper functioning of democracy. We encourage the majority and the opposition to work together to ensure that the Parliament can exercise its duty in the interest of all citizens", concludes the reaction of the Italian embassy in Tirana.
