Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech at the meeting of the Socialist parliamentary group, stated that none of the previous 9 victories has been more important than the upcoming elections because, according to him, they determine the fate of the country in terms of membership in the European Union.
"It has not always been of particular importance for us to win the elections, but on May 11, the importance of winning the elections and the election result itself have a weight on the near future of the country, much greater than they had in previous elections. For the first time since I have been at the head of the SP and the government, a window has opened that has not been open as it is today in Albania's relations with the EU. For the first time, our desire and the Albanian ambition to become a full member completely matches the ambition of the EU", declared Edi Rama, writes A2.
"I have always said that the future is in the EU, the perspective is clear, but never have the stars aligned like today and never has the geopolitical context been as favorable as today. But, it is not a window open forever, but it is a context that can change sooner rather than later," Rama added.
