The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has welcomed the achievement of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. In a post on social media, the head of state stressed that its full implementation is essential for a lasting peace and for alleviating the suffering of those affected.
"I welcome the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which marks the end of more than 15 months of conflict. I appreciate the mediation efforts by the United States, Qatar, Egypt and others. The full implementation of the agreement is essential for a lasting peace and for alleviating suffering for all those affected in the region," Begaj wrote in X.
After 15 months of war, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. The agreement will take effect on Sunday, January 19, and is in three phases. (A2 Televizion)
