The good words were short-lived and the immigrant registration process for the May 11 parliamentarians has begun to be shrouded in doubt.
The two members proposed by the opposition to the regulatory commission at the CEC expressed that the process of registering immigrants is not going well, addressing a series of complaints to the administrators of the process, on the way the approved acts are being implemented.
"Undoubtedly, this is worrying that a process that the whole of Albania and the entire diaspora are paying attention to is not being made transparent, I don't know how I can blame it, but it is not transparency. Can the CEC give in to all the requests of the applicants when the deadline is 5 days," said Vukaj.
In addition to public criticism for the lack of transparency, Helga Vukaj told a case of how the CEC had refused to register a citizen who had indicated as her residential address the house that turned out to be owned by her husband.
