President Begaj decreed the release of Mustafa Nano from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Swiss Confederation
Mustafa Nano also held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Principality of Liechtenstein, non-resident.
At the end of December, Mustafa Nano resigned from his position after a year and a half in this position.
In his message, Nano thanked the Albanian community in Switzerland, which he described as united and energetic. He emphasized that during his mandate he has worked to unify Albanians in Switzerland, a community of over 300,000 people, most of whom are from Kosovo, while about 3,000 of them are from Albania.
Nano was appointed ambassador in July last year, replacing Ilir Gjoni, who had held this position since 2023.
Currently, Switzerland remains without an Albanian ambassador, and the name of Nano's successor has not yet been announced. (A2 Televizion)
