Two Socialist Party deputies from the Durrës district will not be sworn in in September. The strong statement was made in the A2 CNN studio by the Democratic Party candidate in this district in the May 11 elections, Aulon Kalaja. In the Diary with Bruna Çifligu, Kalaja emphasized that crime and gangs had decided the names for deputies.
"In 2021, half of the Durrës list went to prison. The elections in the Durrës district were held, there were no elections. From Jurgis Çyrbja and others that crime and gangs had put their names to be MPs. The same story is this time, I am telling you from this studio that we will have two MPs who will not be on the Durrës list from those who have won now," Kalaja said on A2 CNN.
According to him, this has come as a result of the developments of the last two days, where criminal groups that have patronized candidates have been targeted, not only in Durrës but also in other regions.
