The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, met today with Archbishop Joan, on the occasion of Easter.
During his speech at a media appearance, Berisha wished Archbishop Joan to continue the work of Anastas Janullatos, writes A2 CNN.
Berisha also leveled accusations at Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Socialist Party, saying that they tried to erase pluralism, but added that they failed and got what they deserved.

The great and precious work you do in continuation of the immortal work of Bishop Janullatos, who worked with extraordinary dedication and raised us from the ruins.
The story of Christ the King has been repeated in Albania, because here too they thought of leveling religion and religious belief, but you rose from the ashes, you rose and today it is an excellent performance, with broad support from believers, with all institutions.
In Albania, they tried to erase pluralism, but they got and will get what they deserve.
Today, pluralism is strong, it has passed great tests, and I have great faith that hope, optimism, and the future will be what Albanians deserve and will have.
