The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a national conference together with the United Trade Unions. He promised support for pensioners and needy groups in society. Berisha promised to reduce taxes for businesses to 10% and will create opportunities for the growth of domestic production, supporting “Made in Albania”. Regarding relations with the United States of America, the democratic leader promised that Albania will no longer have tariffs on American goods and said that he believes that the US will also remove tariffs for Albania, creating a strong and direct partnership.

"We will do everything so that Made in Albania fills the Albanian markets and the world's markets. The US has imposed a tariff system because everyone has had tariffs on them. This is the truth. Learn the truth. All those who are crying today have had tariffs. Albania will not have any tariffs on American goods and I am convinced that this will also happen with the US government after we remove them. Once again, I guarantee you a loyal partnership and your voice, a powerful advocate for working people, will be a voice that will be heard by the government. And it will not boast like the one who goes around the world and says we don't have unions. There are no unions because he doesn't ask about them. And we will listen to you, we will cooperate with you, we will take your interests into account and we will transform Albania into a Great Albania, into the Albania of our children's dreams."

The democratic leader asked the union to remain at the forefront of efforts to fight the regime and end political persecution and abuse of Albanian property.

During the meeting, DP Chairman Sali Berisha also signed a contract with the Independent United Trade Unions of Albania, pledging commitment to deliver on promises for pensioners and workers. The opposition leader said the contract would be fully implemented within the first 100 days of the Democratic Party's government, including pension increases and legal amendments to the status of pensioners and workers. Berisha promised to increase pensions by 20% and index them to double inflation, while establishing a living wage of 200 euros for pensioners and those on economic assistance.
