Ina Zhupa, the Democratic Party's candidate for deputy in the Vlora Region, in a live broadcast with "ÇdoKënd" with Merita Haklajn, on A2 CNN, stated that the DP will achieve "extraordinary results" in these elections.
"I have a 4-year investment here. I have worked to build structures and remodel the structures also in function of the parliamentary battles. Because before we had two branches here: Saranda and Delvinë. Now we have 4 branches at the municipal level, just so that we would be ready for the electoral battle and achieve an extraordinary result in these elections," said Zhupa.
When asked what he considered an extraordinary victory, Zhupa replied: "Last time, the Socialist Party prevented the vote of immigrants. Even now, it did everything to prevent those with European Union passports from voting. The diaspora vote does not go to the PS, otherwise they would have voted in 2021 as well. The DP lost its fifth mandate by very few votes, when the LSI was competing on its own. Now, with a coalition with the PL, PBDNJ, PDIU and many other parties, with only the 2021 votes, without the diaspora, we have 5 mandates. By including the diaspora, we automatically have the 6th mandate in Vlora. Our goal is to go beyond the 6-6 tie, to break this tie. But, a tie is the minimum objective we have set for ourselves."
