The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared that if his political force comes to power on May 11, the price of oil in Albania will not be higher than that in Kosovo and North Macedonia, writes A2 CNN.
"Before I came here, I was listening to a video where a pensioner was telling me what a pensioner has to do with oil. So, he considers oil as a privilege of those who have it, at a time when oil is energy and is necessary for all Albanians. We will do this, oil in Albania will not be sold above the price it is sold in Kosovo and Macedonia. Kosovo receives oil from Durrës. Oil cannot be taxed at 1.1 euros. This is a punishment for citizens," Berisha said in a communication on social networks.
Currently in our country, the price of diesel per liter at gas stations is 173 lek per liter, according to Global Petrol Prices.
For comparison, in Kosovo, oil is traded at 1.23 lek per liter, in North Macedonia, oil is traded at 1.21 euros per liter, in Montenegro at 1.51 euros per liter, and in Serbia at 1.8 euros per liter. (A2 Televizion)
