Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that Albania is going through an important moment on its path towards European integration. In a meeting with representatives of the Socialist International and sister European parties, he emphasized that the government is using artificial intelligence to facilitate the process of approximating the Albanian legal framework with that of the European Union, writes A2 CNN. According to Rama, this approach avoids delays and reduces the need for a large number of translators, speeding up the negotiation process.
In his speech, Rama praised Albania's progress on the path to EU membership, emphasizing that the country has gone through a long period of isolation and now has a real opportunity to join the European family. "The stars are in the right direction, both our stars and the stars of the EU," he said, underlining that the current moment is a historic chance for Albania.
One of the most important aspects that Rama emphasized was equality before the law and justice reform. He described as revolutionary the fact that for the first time in the history of Albania, powerful people, connected to politics and the state, are being held accountable before the courts. “It is not easy at all to see people you have known for years brought to justice, but this is part of a necessary process,” said Rama, adding that these processes require time and patience.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the justice reforms have cleansed the system of political interference and that the executive branch no longer has influence over judicial decisions. "For the first time since the declaration of independence in 1912, we have a justice system that functions independently. We have handed over the sword of punishment from the executive branch to the judiciary," he declared.
In conclusion, Rama assured that the Albanian government will continue to work with dedication to fulfill the necessary tasks for EU membership, also using the latest technology to accelerate bureaucratic and legal processes. (A2 Televizion)
