"Edi Rama's time is over." This was stated by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, from Valencia, where he is participating in the Electoral Congress of the European People's Party (PPE). According to the democratic leader, the Albanian opposition, although it is in a frontal attack, already has a strong voice in the most important chancelleries of Europe and the USA.
"That time is over. Now the voice of the opposition is resounding strongly in all the major chancelleries of Europe, but in fact also in the United States. Let's tell the truth. In the sense that today the opposition's interests and causes have as their lawyer, the most powerful current lawyer in the US, and this has terrified Edi Rama and his vassals, I would say, his megaphones, who do not know what they are talking about a contract that aims not only to support today's causes, but also those of the DP government and the opposition."
According to Berisha, his speech to over 2,000 senior European center-right officials served as a direct presentation of the reality of the Albanian "narco-state." He stressed that his messages were supported by European political leaders, including Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Berisha declared that the Democratic Party and opposition forces are ready to take over the country after the May 11 elections and meet the conditions for EU integration.
"The opposition in government after May 11 will be the main locomotive of the country's integration into the EU. I gave full guarantees that the Democratic Party and the opposition forces have the main goal of replacing the narco-state with the rule of law, the drug economy with a free market and functional economy, and to meet all the conditions and social criteria necessary for Albania to progress towards the EU."
He emphasized the DP's full return to communication with the EPP and international allies, mentioning the support the party has also received from the International Democratic Center. According to him, this support has "terrified Edi Rama and his megaphones", while the opposition is on a "full, total, frontal attack" to protect the free vote and remove the current regime.
Berisha described his participation in the congress as a turning point for the opposition, calling it a "public autopsy of Edi Rama's narco-state" and a major step towards the DP's return to power and the international stage. (A2 Televizion)
