From Fier, Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that thanks to projects for the diversification of energy sources, Albania within this decade will be energy independent from any external development and a net energy exporting country.
"Within this decade, Albania will be energy independent from any external development. Albania will decide its own destiny in relation to energy and will move to net exports. It is not only production, but also transmission that has seen significant progress, as well as the extension of Albania's entire transmission network in all possible directions, where the icing on the cake is the agreement with Italy for the interconnection line with the other side of Europe, thanks to the tripartite cooperation with the Italian government and the government of the United Emirates."
The Prime Minister once again expressed the ambition that by 2030 Albania will export energy, while asking companies to invest in human resources.
"To process and export processed products and create more added value. This applies to minerals, hydrocarbons, oil. No company has a future if you don't have people. You have to understand that you have to pay human resources like in Europe, otherwise you can't have them." (A2 Televizion)
