Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has presented the DP candidates for the Elbasan district, at the Sports Palace of this city.
Among the hundreds of attendees, Berisha said during his speech that Elbasan is being deserted day by day under the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama, writes A2 CNN.
Berisha also attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama during his speech, saying that he has built mansions with foundations twice as long as the villa of dictator Enver Hoxha.
Excerpt from Berisha's speech:
Dear citizens of Elbasan, honorable democrats, honorable candidates, future representatives of the city of Elbasan in the Albanian parliament, my warmest greetings, my greatest respect, my boundless gratitude for this ardent welcome, for this extraordinary enthusiasm, the true energy of our future victory.
Three weeks ago I was in the blessed city of Elbasan to celebrate with you your holiday and that of all Albanians, Summer Day, the day of hope, the day of great changes.
Today I return to this city again to deliver the message that this year Elbasan and all of Albania will have a second summer day, and this will be May 11th.
May 11 will be the day of the end of the longest 12-year winter that Albanians have experienced.
May 11 will be the day of the true spring of democracy for Albania and Albanians.
May 11th will be the day when the sun's rays will shine in Elbasan and throughout Albania.
For the magnificent Elbasan and the magnificent Albania of the coming 4 years.
Elbasan is a wonderful city.
Elbasan has historically been a city of vitality, culture, values, knowledge, and production.
So it was a city with an extremely precious heritage.
In the 12 years of Edi Rama, Elbasan was devastated more than in any invasion, more than in any war.
In these 12 years, Elbasan saw things it had never seen before.
Without government thugs dragging the commissioners.
Without thugs ordering the murders of lawyers and other citizens.
Without the hyenas of crime pouncing on the will of citizens to steal votes.
Without judges ordering the murder of journalists.
Blessed Elbasan experienced the greatest depopulation, the departure of tens of thousands of its sons and daughters to build their dream in other lands and not in Albania, not in Elbasan.
During these years, your taxes, your sweat, your labor, were stolen. With this money, Edi Rama, his ministers, his officials, were transformed into the sheikhs of Albania.
But my friends, as much as they became richer, Albanian citizens became poorer.
Albanian pensioners sank so deeply into misery, into extreme poverty.
Albanian families today, over 40 percent of them, cannot feed their children properly.
18 percent of them cannot guarantee two meals for their children.
There are hundreds and thousands of families whose table was not enough and who were forced to tell their children, take the dirt roads, find your destiny.
Because Edi Rama chose to live alone in a mansion with foundations twice as long as the villa of dictator Enver Hoxha.
That Edi Rama chose to live on his own with this money, to have a yard 4 times larger than the dictator's.
But I will tell you one thing, the dictator was the most cruel man, but he did not register that courtyard and that villa in his name.
Meanwhile, Edi Rama, with 4 thousand euros in savings, built a palace and an 8 thousand square meter park.
With this money, he takes a taxi plane for 21 million euros in two years.
With this money, Lubi Balluku and Maznik Ndragheta sat at the tables with 1 thousand euros of steak.
With this money, Edi Rama goes to the match with a 28 thousand euro ticket.
With this money, Edi Rama immerses himself and his family in more and more luxury.
He buys a Garden of Eden in his backyard because he wants to feast his eyes on exotic fish and plants. No prime minister in the world does that.
With this money, Lubi Balluku washes his car for 10 thousand euros a month, you won't find such a record even in Guinness.
So, for 12 years, these people, like leeches, have been desolating, impoverishing, and making Albanians miserable.
Elbasan is witness to one of the biggest thefts of the century.
Here is the sheet metal that Edi Rama brought with his ministers.
Out of order, it has not produced a single kilowatt hour since it was installed.
Today the mountain of garbage is bigger than ever because the money ended up in the accounts of Edi Rama, Gjiknuri and his ministers.
This was the biggest theft because in Tirana, the 130 million euro incinerator, there is not a single brick. Yes, 130 million euros are all your taxes, your toil and sweat.
Those who were supposed to monitor and control the construction turned a blind eye. Lubi Balluku, who had a state duty to supervise, did not make even a single report, because he knew that 130 million euros were being divided between Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj. (A2 Televizion)
