Berisha: The increase in energy prices has cost Albanians 900 million euros,

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that the increase in the price of electricity has cost Albanians 900 million euros, writes A2 CNN.

Berisha made his comments through a statement to the media, where he said that Prime Minister Edi Rama made a corrupt agreement with CEZ, a company which, according to the former prime minister, official invoices recognized by the international audit, owed Albanians 630 million euros. Also according to him, the indirect damages were 3.2 billion euros.

Berisha also said that in 2013 DP had left 3 prices for energy, where one was 77 lek for the first 300 kilowatts, a price which according to him covered the consumption of over 78% of Albanian families, the second price was 115 lek per kilowatt, which it covered others who consumed more and 60 lek per kilowatt/hour for businesses.

Part of Berisha's speech:

Today I am here to present to the Albanians the package or our attitude towards the price of energy.

As is already known, in 2013 we left 3 prices for energy.

We left the price at 77 lek for the first 300 kilowatts, a price which covered the consumption of more than 78 percent of Albanian families.

We left the second price at 115 kilowatts, which covered others who consumed more.

For business, we had the lowest price in Europe, 60 lek per kilowatt/hour.

This price was completely affordable, matched the government's attitude towards strong support of the business sector and was one of the important attractions of local and foreign investors in Albania.

Meanwhile, we undertook the project of turning Albania into a small regional superpower of renewable energy, which the SP used to make fun of who knows how many times.

Edi Rama, after his corrupt agreement with CEZ, a company whose official invoices were recognized by the international audit, owed Albanians 630 million euros.

Indirect damages were 3.2 billion euros.

Edi Rama with the famous Fyle, you remember, left the arbitration, a process in which we were absolutely convinced that we would win, and a process which would force CEZ, at least those with the invoice, to return 630 million to the Albanian state.

Edi Rama not only handed over these 630 million, but also paid an additional 100 million euros to CEZ from the state budget.

Edi Rama's affair with CEZ is one of the biggest affairs in the history of European corruption.

After this famous agreement, Edi Rama increased the price.

In other words, he made bandages up to 300 Euros for 95 Lek, so he increased it by about 20 percent, and he increased the other bandage by 118 Lek.

With this increase, Edi Rama robbed the needy classes, which are called those who received it with 77 lek, with an annual amount of 60 million euros and that in 10 years will become 600 million euros.

It's not just that. It is much more.

In 2023, in a paradoxical, illegal way, Edi Rama receives from the state budget, by normative act, 200 million euros in budget support for KESH and 80 million loans.

It gives 280 million euros from the state budget.

So during the 10-year period, compared to the first year of 2013, Albanian citizens paid a total of about 900 million euros.

You have to be the one who is himself to say that I have not increased the price of energy ever.

You have to speak to the mind of Lubia to say that this is the first reduction in the price of energy in history. To think worse than those who believed that Albanians ate grass.

You bought it for 77 lek, raised it to 95 and reduced it to 85. Is this a discount?

So, it is 10 lek more expensive than it was in 2013. (A2 Televizion)
