The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, presented the candidates of the 'Alliance for a Greater Albania' coalition in Shkodra this afternoon.
During his speech to the audience, Berisha said that he chose Shkodra to start the battle to overthrow what he described as the second dictatorship.
He added that this is a liberation campaign, as he said that in Rozafa of freedom, one feels freer than anywhere else in Albania, than anywhere else in the world.

Democrats, dear candidates for future deputies, representatives of the citizens and residents of this district, a boundless thank you and gratitude for this warm hospitality.

Dear friends, no one can say, no one can write more about Shkodra than history has said about this city.
That history that the people of Shkodra have written themselves with courage, with bright minds, with heart, with love, with sweat and blood for their blessed city in its most difficult days,
Shkodra has been and remains in history the city of the starting point of eras for the Albanian nation.
Here in Shkodra, the era of democracy and the collapse of the communist dictatorship began, so I chose Shkodra to start the battle for the collapse of the second dictatorship and the construction this time of a magnificent Shkodra, of a magnificent Albania.
Dear friends, we are on the eve of an electoral campaign that will go down in history as perhaps the most important electoral campaign of the last 34 years.
Because in this campaign we are not against a political party, we are against a terrible criminal organization that has occupied Albania for 12 years and that needs a rebirth.
We are facing the first and only narco-state in Europe, now documented with basic international documents.
Therefore, this campaign is in fact a liberation campaign for Albania and for Shkodra.
But above all, this campaign is liberating for Shkodra, because if you look at this blessed city today, you feel pain, deep regret.
