Her name appeared in the SPAK investigative file for the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, as a person who met with the declarants in the case before and after joining SPAK, on several occasions in the company of Ajola Xoxa.
But, the chairwoman of the Laws Committee, Klotilda Bushka, in the explanations she gave today to socialist lawmakers at the parliamentary group meeting, stated that she has never tried to obstruct the truth.
Regarding the meeting she had with Ina Goxhaj, one of the witnesses questioned by SPAK during the investigation process, Bushka said that the person in question is her cousin.
"Regarding the claim of obstruction of the truth. Yes, I have met the girl in question as a person I have worked with before and I have blood relations. Ina Goxhaj is my cousin. I calmed her down by advising her to tell the truth and, as a lawyer, I suggested to a cousin her rights. That's all, I did not prevent her from saying anything, nor did I try to hide any truth because I am the first to be interested in the truth coming out," said Bushka.
The SP MP further raised suspicions that Goxhaj may have been intimidated or put under pressure during questioning by SPAK prosecutors to make the statement that also includes Bushka.
"I criticized my cousin for the fact that the address of the organization where she was the director had not been changed since 2017, even though I had asked her to do so several times. I don't know how to explain what happened at the prosecutor's office or what pressure my cousin felt, which in our private conversations she brought up in a different context. This is my truth, but I have never been called out for this," Bushka said. (A2 Televizion)
