Former president and leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has announced a new disciplinary punishment against him in the “Jordan Misja” prison. Through an announcement on social media, Meta states that the measure taken by the Disciplinary Commission prohibits his participation in physical activities for 14 days, on the grounds that he has communicated with the media without the special permission of the Director General of Prisons. He describes this measure as unfounded and politically motivated, while accusing the authorities of violating his rights to communicate publicly.
Meta mocks the concept of "special permission" to speak to the media, noting that he has also been denied meetings with local and foreign journalists, as well as his family. He calls this part of a monstrous criminal process against him.
The leader of the PL also talks about the action in Theth, which according to him, "The Land of the Xanun" cannot cover up "the Xanun's power" with the imprisonment of opposition figures and the help of drug cartels.

Today I was notified of a new sentence apparently based on a "new" Regulation.
The IEPV lawyer "Jordan Misja" brought me in to familiarize myself with the new punishment, normally as it was written there, received "unanimously" by the Disciplinary Committee, to be banned from joint physical exercises for another 14 days.
The argument was that I had violated, if I'm not mistaken, point c of point ç of the Regulation, which did not allow communication with the media without special permission from the Director General of Prisons.
For this, they referred to a telephone communication between my lawyer Kujtim Cakrani and journalist Ms. Aida Toncica at MCN TV, on July 2, 2025.
When they sentenced me the first time, I told them that you are not convicting me for speaking after 8:00 PM, but for the fact that I responded to the journalist Ms. Beti Njuma.
No, they told me, it has nothing to do with this, but with the serious violation of the schedule by 20 minutes.
When I spoke live at 12:00 noon (during the working hours), they invented the "new" Regulation that one cannot speak to the media without special permission from the Director General of Prisons.
Now we have not only Special Prosecutors, not only Special Courts, but also "special permission" to speak.
Those who didn't even ask about the special permits that the Special Prosecution Office officially granted to Freedom Party MPs to meet with me will give me special permission to speak against "Ramaduro".
Those who have not allowed any local or foreign journalist to meet me will give me special permission.
Those who asked me to vote on May 11th at 10:00 because they wanted the media to film me and who "surprisingly" made it impossible for cameramen and journalists to film me by delaying them for "security reasons".
Those who left my sister and three children at the prison door for two weeks without seeing me, and who the third time when the four of them came, invented the rule that one had to stay outside because four were not allowed as was always the case, will now give me "special permission" to dismantle this entire monstrous criminal process fabricated with slander and false accusations for many years.
Desperate that during the 9 months in detention they failed to create any new evidence against me here despite countless provocations, they think they will irritate me with such madness, the offspring of a crazy head drugged by stolen power that cannot be covered with the "land and xanun" operation nor by buying and corrupting internationals with bags of dollars like McGonigal and many others.
Not even stopping my telephone communication with the Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, will calm the nightmares of "Ramaduro",
The true criminal face of "Ramaduro" is shown by its criminal behavior towards the wonderful community of Theth.
"The land of the khan" cannot cover up the "power of the khan" with the imprisonment of opposition figures and the help of drug cartels.
Those wonderful people have been in their lands for generation after generation and did not deserve this disloyalty and meanness because with their sacrifices and hospitality they gave Albania a name in the world.
Meanwhile, the unfaithful know that in his fourth term, his chair no longer has four legs due to the heavy burden of theft, corruption, and crimes.
