In his speech at the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which took place in Rome, Prime Minister Rama said that he had promised to speak "unusually briefly", while thanking Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for organizing it, calling her "his beloved sister".
"My dear sister Giorgia Meloni reminded everyone today that all roads lead to Rome. Dear Antonio, it has been a great experience, a joyful, chaotic and peaceful crossroads that you have organized here to show everyone that there is no safer place than Italy," Rama said.
He added that all security protocols are meaningless in a country like Italy, also referring to the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky: "I'm sure Volodymyr has also enjoyed the abundance of humanity here, where all his bodyguards for the first time since the war have felt useless."
