MP Spahiu: I didn't expect to be on the SP lists at all, I thought my time was up

The Socialist Party MP in the Durrës Region, Klodiana Spahiu, said that she did not expect to be on the SP candidate lists again for the May 11 elections.

Spahiu made the comments on 'Ditari i Pasdites' with journalist Bruna Çifligu on A2 CNN, where she said she thought her political time was over, after several years in politics.

She also said that the SP, through the 'political academy' and 'the deputy we want' platforms, has 'recruited' many new elements with political potential.

Question: Did you expect to be on the closed list?

Spahiu: Do you want an honest answer or not? I didn't expect to be on the list at all. Because for 16 years in politics I had thought... Because in my concept and in the great work that has been done in these last 2 years by the SP, we have not searched in vain for new elements and we have not developed it in my concept... that the political academy has been created and it was not without purpose, it has been created to gather new elements that support the party and that give it a different spirit. And there are many elements. The deputy that we want became and each of them... And I thought that there might be no more room for me. Because in the end, a person makes a contribution and I have never thought of myself as irreplaceable. It is just like the work of a train. (A2 Televizion)
