The production of ballots that will be used for voters from abroad who have registered to vote for the May 11 parliamentary elections has begun. The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, in a communication with journalists, stated that they are expected to arrive in Albania by April 8th.

The Central Election Commission announced that the production of ballots for Albanians living abroad has begun, anticipating mid-April as the earliest deadline for their delivery.

"Production has begun, their delivery would begin by the 17th," said Celibashi.

The envelopes will be distributed to 85 countries around the globe, where the main criterion that the CEC has set for the postal operator is its delivery to the applicant and not to other persons.

"I have to hand it over to the person, otherwise it ends up with other people or other offices."

According to the CEC, voting from abroad cost an average of around 37.5 euros per ballot, with a total value of around 9.2 million euros.   (A2 Televizion)
