The return to work of Parliament in this Monday's plenary session has been accompanied by debates between the Socialists and Democrats, with the latter criticizing the postponement of the session from last week, as Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali was in Ukraine.
The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, accused Spiropali of turning the institution into a shop, which he opens and closes according to his personal whims and desires.
"It is shameful for the Speaker of Parliament to tell the MPs that you know me as an honor that I am holding these sessions. Madam, this Parliament is elected by the sovereign and we represent it and to continue working in the service of the law, the Constitution and the interests of the sovereign. And it is not a matter of humor that the Speaker's whim is that I close it today, and I close it/ Or I open it and you say thank you. Your tourist tours to take a selfie here or there, Madam, can never block the agenda of this Parliament. You are missing 5 or 10 MPs and you cannot pass the notarizations that the Sultan tells you, this is not the function of this Parliament. Forget it, this Parliament is not your shop, that opens and closes when you want and functions according to your whims. Since May 11, you have had a problem with the functioning of Parliament because the exposure of the farce, with voice and image, has created problems and stress for you. And that is why you have started to scream, no yes "You blacken the face of Albania. Madam, you should keep one thing in mind, even as long as you are in that chair, because autumn is leaving along with the heat and Sara will come there to take your place, try to maintain the dignity of the institution you represent", Noka - Spiropali addressed the country.
The Speaker of the Parliament did not spare a response, ironizing the DP with the fact that their leader Sali Berisha cannot travel to the USA.
Spiropali also underlined that socialists travel to EU countries for work, and not to tarnish Albania's image as democrats do.
"Honorable Mr. Noka, I understand very well that you miss the photos, the selfies everywhere in Europe and across the ocean. But this is not our problem because we do not go there for photos, we go there to represent Albania, which as you said and you yourself promote wherever you can in those small spaces that you have left internationally. There will undoubtedly be plenary sessions, whenever there are laws that have passed the parliamentary committees," Spiropali replied. (A2 Televizion)
