The former Socialist mayor of Kavaja, Elvis Roshi, has come out to collect votes for the Democratic Party and specifically for Elton Roshi, who is his cousin and is running on the Democratic Party list in the Tirana District.
Belind Këlliçi was also asked about this on the show "Off the Record" with Andrea Danglli on A2 CNN, stating that the class war has been over since 1990.
"I don't know at all that Elvis Roshi has gone on an electoral campaign, but I can tell you that the time of the Labor Party, of class warfare and family and clan clashes ended in 1990 with the overthrow of the dictatorship. I don't know who your cousins are, but you can't be responsible for all your cousins. I know that the class warfare ended in 1990.
"If you go with the communist mentality, which was also used against me, by anathematizing me as a socialist son-in-law and so on. I told Veliaj who I am, I will tell Rama too," Këlliçi said on the show "Off the Record" with Andrea Danglli. (A2 Televizion)
