The Deputy Mayor of Tirana City Council and at the same time the DP Advisor for Economic Affairs, Dorjan Teliti, has reacted to the recent appointments in the capital's municipality.
In a post on social media, Teliti says that this is a desperate attempt to fill the void of lost legitimacy. According to him, Tirana does not need other "engineers" of procrastination and cementing the mismanagement that is drowning this city.
"The appointments of the four deputy mayors in the Municipality of the Capital are nothing more than a desperate attempt to fill the void of a lost legitimacy, by finding new "presantomes" to appear on the screens! Tirana does not need other "engineers" of dragging out and cementing the mismanagement that is drowning this city. The people of Tirana are not fooled. Tirana does not need any cosmetic "solutions" that deepen the dependence of local government on the central one", writes Teliti.
Teliti calls for early elections as the only solution to restore legitimacy and improve local governance.
"Tirana needs youth, it needs vision, it needs courage and above all professionalism and loyalty to its development interests. The only way forward is early elections! The sooner we move towards them, the sooner Tirana will breathe freely. Enough with the procrastination!", concludes Teliti.
