The Mayor of Berat, Ervin Demo, has resigned from his position, A2 CNN reports, as he will be on the Socialist Party's lists for the May 11 elections.
Demo's resignation comes a day after that of the mayor of Tepelena, Tërmet Peçi, and that of Mati, Agron Malaj.
A2 CNN has learned that three local officials will be on the SP lists for the May 11 elections. Demo will lead the Berat list as a political leader, while Tërmet Peçi, after 14 years as mayor, will run on an open list in Gjirokastër.
Agron Malaj will seek a mandate as an MP in Debar. The official SP list will be discussed on Wednesday at 18:00 at the SP presidency. (A2 Televizion)
