Some of the new parties have chosen to place fictitious names on closed lists as a revolt against the list system, while the party leaders themselves or those who really intend to receive mandates are on an open list where the one who receives one more vote will go to parliament if they manage to collect the necessary votes.

In the 2021 elections, the Socialist Party won 18 seats, the DP 15, the LSI today the Freedom Party 2 seats and Tom Doshi's SP managed to get one seat. The last seat in Tirana for the 2021 elections was won by the DP with 12,156 votes. This figure is indicative of how many votes a new political party will need to get a seat in the capital's electoral zone. (A2 Televizion)
