Prime Minister Edi Rama commented today in the 'Sy m'Sy' column on social networks on the Prosecution's investigations into the company 'Bankers Petrolium', which operates in the Patos-Marinza oil fields.
Rama said he was pleased that the Prosecution has independently investigated this company and encouraged them to continue this work, writes A2 CNN.
The head of government also recalls the arbitration that the government won with Bankers, saying that the company owes the Albanian state 240 million euros.
He also accused the previous government of the concession agreement with the 'Bankers', adding that under his government these things would not happen.
"We have won an arbitration with Bankers and Bankers owes us 240 million euros. I am grateful that the day has come for the prosecution to investigate independently and in this case I take my hat off to the one who conducted this investigation and I hope they will bring out the black water from that enterprise, where there really were many problems and which still exist today, the cost of a concession granted before I took office. The concessions we have granted, I would not leave them without redoing them, they are in the service of the Albanian people, but the concessions we have inherited are what they are, they are black holes", said Rama, among other things.
We recall that a short time ago, following investigations by the prosecution, executives and former senior executives of 'Bankers Petrolium' were arrested on charges of "Creating fraudulent schemes related to value added tax", "Hiding income", "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", "Abuse of office" and "Failure to perform duties by tax authorities".
