The Special Court of Appeals postponed until May 14 the court session of SPAK's appeal against the decision of the Special Court, which obliges it to investigate former Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, and her husband, Artan Gaçi.
The reason was the absence of the plaintiff Alfred Beleri from the hearing, who, through a letter, conveyed to the court his concern that the review in the Appeal should be held in a consultation room and not in a session with the parties.
In the Appeal, SPAK requests the repeal of the February 28 First Instance decision, according to which the investigations against Xhaçka for "abuse of office" and Gaçi for "forgery of documents" and "money laundering" should continue.
The former official and her businessman husband were reported by the former elected mayor of Himara, Alfred Beleri, for abusing the law in the registration of two plots of land in Dhërmi, which were then acquired by businessman Gaci on behalf of a strategic investment. (A2 Televizion)
