"Clarification of the crime contract with the policy of 2017-2021, is the challenge of the justice bodies in Albania". This is what the former Minister of Justice, Eduart Halimi, said in "Every corner" with Merita Hakjan on A2 CNN, according to which, if the high officials involved are not brought to justice, it means that the system has failed.
"The decisions of the international courts should serve as a very good basis for the magistrates who have these files in hand to communicate everything they have received from foreign courts to the defense and clarify the truth as soon as possible, bring all those to justice included. This is the challenge that the judicial bodies have, if they do not act, it means that they have failed. If they don't release the names of the high officials of the judiciary who are involved in cases such as the "Toyota Yaris" that we have a prosecutor in prison, or the "Metamorfoza" case. There are doubts that there are judges and prosecutors who are involved and if they do not come out, they have failed. If they do not issue the crime contract with the policy that happened in 2017-2021, it means that the system has failed. They are facing this challenge".
In A2 CNN, Halimi emphasized that the judicial bodies have no obstacle to prove the documents, but according to him the justice must prove that it acts with a standard.
"At the moment, they have no obstacles. The documentary evidence and evidence to prove that they killed or whether or not they received this tender. They are in this kind of challenge. There are thousands of pages. Such processes have also required time in Belgium. In Albania, it has just started. We must have patience and have faith that justice acts with a standard and not a standard. If he hides them, he has failed".
