Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that Alex Soros and his father are his friends, and that he is proud of this friendship.
Rama made the comments following accusations by Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha and his American campaign strategist, Chris LaCivita, who have stated that the prime minister is a puppet of George Soros.
Rama advised the opposition to leave aside the stories with Americans, as according to him, Trump and Soros resolve their own disputes, writes A2 CNN.
The chief executive also told the opposition to focus on the situation in the country, as according to him, Albania is not the center of the world.
"I had Alex Soros as a friend, his father as well. And I am proud of that friendship. Tales and stories that connect unrelated things do not impress me. And I have other friends who are not friends with them and I do not speculate.
Don't be ridiculous, let Americans solve their problems among Americans. Don't act like we're the center of the world.
"Look at my photo collection and you will see that what I say is true. I am in high-level meetings thanks to the trust of the people. Don't buy these stories with dolls because they don't lead you anywhere," Rama said during his speech, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
