Shortly after 23:00, Albin Kurti arrived at the headquarters of the Vetevendosje Movement, where dozens of supporters were waiting for him. In front of them, Albin Kurti declared victory in Sunday's elections, while emphasizing that the votes will be sufficient for the coalition in which Vetevendosje is a part to form the new Kurti 3 government.
"I thank all citizens for participating in these first regular parliamentary elections. There were no incidents and everything went according to the law. I also thank the Kosovo police for the smooth running of this process. The elections were free, democratic and fair. We are the first and this is a confirmation of our good and prosperous democratic and progressive governance.
"Our winning coalition will form the new Kurti 3 government and we will continue the work we have started. The citizens of Kosovo have successfully proven their resistance even against an unprecedented hybrid war that has been waged against us. Money has been spent without accounting, workers have been threatened and there have been the most absurd claims in this campaign," said Albin Kurti.
Latest results from the CEC
The Central Election Commission of Kosovo, despite major technical problems, has published new data regarding the results of Sunday's elections when 73.04 percent of the votes were counted.
According to CEC data, the Vetëvendosje Movement has managed to receive 41.99 percent of the votes. PDK is in second place with 22.68 percent of the votes, LDK with 17.90 percent of the votes, AAK 7.56 percent of the votes.
However, this data is expected to be confirmed in the future, given that a little earlier the head of the CEC stated in an extraordinary conference that there were problems with the application and the decision was made to count the forms manually. (A2 Televizion)
