The Complaints and Sanctions Commission has rejected the Socialist Party's request that, during the recount process, even cases where an x or + is placed outside the square on the ballot paper, but next to it, be counted as votes for candidates.
We recall that previously these ballots, where x or + were marked outside the ballot, were deemed invalid by the Central Election Commission, writes A2 CNN.
From the vote recount that is taking place in several districts of the country, there have been no very substantial changes for political parties, but it is noted that in Tirana, the SP and the DP have suffered a drop of several dozen votes.
We recall that the May 11 elections were won overwhelmingly by the Socialist Party of Albania, which managed to obtain 83 parliamentary seats. (A2 Televizion)
