Belind Këlliçi, the political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, invited to the "ÇdoKënd" studio with Merita Haklaj, on A2 CNN, shared what the Democrats expect from the Tirana recount.
"We expect the exhaustion of every possible opportunity we have to bring Ilir Alimehmet to Parliament, who is first on the waiting list, because he received 18 thousand votes and it is not normal for a public figure who is trusted in such a way to remain outside Parliament. This has been made possible by this deformed code, which I have always spoken out against," said Këlliçi.
"I hope this will be the last time Albanian citizens vote with this crazy code and we will use every possible opportunity. There may be other vote distortion phenomena and other forces have received a mandate at the expense of the Democratic Party," Këlliçi further emphasized.
