The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, described as productive the meeting held with the EU Ambassador in Tirana, Gonzato, regarding preparations for the May 11 electoral process.
In a statement to the media, Celibashi spoke about the cooperation with the SPAK office established for the elections and the problems encountered during the diaspora voting process.
"It was a meeting to provide information on the preparation of the elections. We are in a continuous process of cooperation and support from the EU delegation that will continue after the elections. Albania is at an important moment of integration, so all institutions and parties must reflect on their responsibility for elections with integrity."
We have had communications with SPAK about various issues, about complaints made in this structure, but also in the CEC. We have made available everything that was requested. If anyone has concerns about voting from abroad, they should do so at the CEC in PER. I do not know how many people have complained on social networks.
So far, the CEC has said that they have not received the ballots and the total number of problems is 156. DHL has the obligation to keep the envelopes that it has not delivered to voters until May 8th," said Celibashi. (A2 Televizion)
