From the decision of the Constitutional Court that overturned the request of small parties for closed lists, the Albanians will be penalized and not the parties. This is what Enkelejd Alibeaj expressed in Ditarin with Bruna Çifligu, according to which, with this system, the part that does not support either Rama or Berisha have no reason to go to the polls and the Albanians will be governed by the minority.
"The electoral law belongs to the parties, but above all to the Albanians. The punishment given to Albanians is this; that the closed list is secret, it doesn't even appear on the ballot paper, that he keeps these in his pocket like one, like the other. The electorate is divided into 3 parts; with Rama, Berisha and a large part do not like either one or the other. With this system, this large part of Albanians who do not support either one or the other, will they find any incentive to go to the ballot boxes? For Rama and Berisha, it would be very good for them not to go to the polls. And this is the greatest sin to be ruled by the minority. This part should be put to the vote en masse".
According to him, this part should go to the polls massively and for this, Alibeaj explained on A2 CNN, that his party Djathas 1912 will go to the polls with open lists.
"We, Dahttas 1912, will walk with open lists. If it is moral and serves Albanian citizens. Rama and Berisha decided that a party should be registered and have both lists; open and closed. We will leave the closed lists empty. Legally, I think there is no problem that yes, I have the right to resign. There are many ways to reach the opening of lists".
Without wanting to comment on the Constitutional Court's decision to reject their request, Aliabeaj expressed his regret and said he will wait for the court's reasoning on this matter.
"We will see the reasoning of the Constitutional Court. If the soup is made by politics, and it was made by politics. On July 26, the two political groups united their votes for the common interest as; against power and justice, leave all moral scruples and unite the votes. We will admit that there is no other choice. I have regrets. I don't want to be a hypocrite in this system the powers are separated. It is natural that there is not the same opinion among them, so in this case the dissatisfactions we may have, how long have you been a part of one branch of power and who cut your tongue to speak for the other side".
