Democratic Party MP Luan Baçi, in an interview for "Ditarin" with Bruna Çifligu, on A2 CNN, accused the Socialist Party of using state assets to convince Diaspora Albanians to vote for them in the May 11 elections.
To illustrate this, he brought up the case of the Municipality of Fier, which, according to Baç, financed a concert with immigrants in Athens through a tender.
"The Socialist Party has made state assets available. It has made the stolen municipalities of 2023 available. A week ago, the Municipality of Fier even made a tender, selecting singers, a 30-seat bus and sent them to Greece, organizing a concert in Athens with the municipality's money, with administration employees, to make propaganda and collect diaspora votes for the SP. The SP uses municipalities, ministries, directorates in order to get diaspora votes to go to them," said Baçi.
As if to show that the Democratic Party is conducting its campaign in the diaspora at the personal expense of the MPs, Baçi said that he himself will pay for a meeting with compatriots in Agrinjo next week.
"Next Saturday I have a meeting in Agrinjo, Greece, where the majority is from the Fier region. These are meetings that we hold as MPs, at our own expense. Here is Greece, Agrinjo is no further than 300-400 km from Fier," said Baçi. (A2 Televizion)
