The Personal Data Protection Bill, which is expected to be discussed in Thursday's session, was the focus of the meeting of the socialist parliamentary group. According to the SP, this draft aims to improve the handling and protection of personal data, guaranteeing compliance with the most advanced international standards and strengthening the privacy of Albanian citizens.
"During the discussions, the position of the Parliamentary Group of the SP was emphasized in relation to the draft laws that are expected to be reviewed. Special attention was paid to the draft law on the Protection of Personal Data, which is fully aligned with the acquis communautaire of the European Union. This draft aims to significantly improve the handling and protection of personal data, guaranteeing compliance with the most advanced international standards and strengthening the privacy of Albanian citizens. The Socialist Party is determined to resolutely continue the improvement of the legal framework at the service of citizens, strengthening trust in institutions and ensuring the protection of the fundamental rights of every individual" , says the announcement of the SP.
Today's meeting of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party marked the closing meeting for this year, focusing on preparations for Thursday's plenary session, which according to it has a busy and important agenda.
