The deputy of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, was invited to the show "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglili on A2 CNN, where he also commented on the SPAK investigations against the mayor Erion Veliaj.
Former minister Gjiknuri said that the investigations are taking place and there may be seizure of evidence, but this does not mean that Veliaj is guilty. He added that the investigations in the ranks of the SP also happen because of the long time that this party has been in power.
"Veliaj made it clear that he is open to investigation, just like all of us when we are accused because we have given up any kind of protective instrument.
The investigation may also have such measures, but this does not mean that he is guilty. There may also be seizure of evidence that is valid for the investigation, there may also be checks and this is one of the tools of the investigation, but it does not mean that Veliaj or anyone else is guilty.
Justice was being politicized, it was being done in turn, we are endangering democracy. A party that has been in power for a long time... abuse happens where there is decision-making.
