Prime Minister Edi Rama has many reasons to be upset, claims Sali Berisha. The leader of the Democratic Party believes that the case of former FBI agent Charles McGonigal is being reopened in the US.
According to the opposition leader, the news coming from across the ocean will shock Rama and he calls on him to be prepared.
"The McGonigal case is circulating every day, it's coming back to the table. The Rama-McGonigal file is becoming current. Collaborative investigative journalists have brought it back again these days. And it is known that McGonigal is one of the highest-ranking FBI officials, who was personally involved in the hunt for President Donald Trump."
According to Berisha, this is not the only bitter news for Rama coming from the US. He also calls the new appointments to the FBI leadership the same.
"It is a very positive development for the FBI, which will have at its helm two people totally committed to full transparency and to protecting without wavering. This is bitter news for Edi Rama, as this famous journalist and author of a best-selling book has been appointed to that position, but the other problem is that President Donald Trump has declared drug cartels, and specifically Sinaloa, linked to Edi Rama, a terrorist organization."
Following the accusations against SPAK, the leader of the Democrats gave another reason why he wants to dissolve this structure. According to him, Edi Rama and Altin Dumani turned SPAK into a political prosecutor's office.
"The transformation of Skapi into a political prosecutor's office is the work of Edi Rama. Through his tool, Altin Dumani, an irresponsible, unconscious man. They forgot that they were doing everything to undermine political pluralism. Antony Blinken couldn't undermine that, not that Altin Dumani can't undermine it. I'm not telling anyone that you'll have it personal, no, you'll have it legal."
Regarding the elections, Berisha affirmed that the Democratic Party remains open to alliances with other parties, but first they must show that they are against Edi Rama. (A2 Televizion)
