The Co-Chairman of the Movement for National Development, Mr. Ekrem Spahiu, stated that the wind of change that began with the victory of Donald Trump in the USA, is spreading with the victory of right-wing parties everywhere in Europe and, according to him, the time has come for change to come to Albania as well.
Spahiu made the comments at a press conference, where LZHK and 'Djathtas 1912' signed the agreement to create a coalition for the May 11 elections.
Spahiu said that their political offer is the most serious and democratic, as according to him, this coalition is so far the only one among the competing political entities of May 11 that will enter the elections with open lists.
He also added that all candidates for MPs of this coalition represent the real right and come from right-wing political backgrounds.
"Most Albanians are demanding a change. 12 years have passed since the Socialist Party led the Albanian government. In the US, Italy, Greece, France, yesterday also in Germany and everywhere in Europe, the center-right parties are winning. Change is also necessary in Albania.
This is one more opportunity for Albanians to have another genuine right-wing alternative. All individuals who will be candidates for deputies in our coalition are of right-wing political origin and represent the real right. Albanians have the opportunity to make their own change.
In Italy, the right-wing coalition governs, as well as in other countries. So what's wrong with having 2-3 parties in government in Albania? We have the most democratic principle. The Open List will appear before the Albanians and the voters will make the selection and then a government will be built. Absolutely, we are a democratic principle", said Mr. Spahiu. (A2 Televizion)
