The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, was connected live from prison to the Freedom Party Convention in Tirana, which took place today, through an audio link.
During his speech, Meta said that he was taken hostage by Prime Minister Edi Rama and the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, in order for the ruling party to seize a fourth mandate in government, writes A2 CNN.
He also presented the PL program, determining that its key point will be the increase in exports for our country, with the aim of economic development.
"I have been taken hostage by Rama-Dumani to steal a fourth term. Citizens will answer this gang, which is leaving them without a homeland. The Freedom Party has 5 key priorities, starting with the one for 4 million Albanians plus. We will stop depopulation, by reducing taxes and we will guarantee loans for young couples. We will guarantee free transportation for pensioners. We will support farmers. We want Albania to return to a productive power. We will donate 20 thousand euros to every person who starts a new business. Our social and economic program is completely applicable.
Without this extraordinary investment in education and human capital, we will find it impossible to transform Albania into an exporting power and to keep young people in our country and guarantee jobs with dignified salaries. Strong support for agriculture and food is our priority, because it is the most discriminated sector. Since 2017, the number of cattle and livestock has been halved in the country. Albania exports only 8% of GDP. This is the lowest level. We will significantly reduce the price of oil in the country and support the growth of its production. There are three final and key words of our program: Exports, exports and only exports", said Meta, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
