"The focus should be on implementing reforms and accelerating all other reforms, especially in the justice sector, because it is the cornerstone of the European integration process." This message was conveyed by the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, at a press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to her, European integration is a project of the entire Albanian society and she called on Albanian citizens to support the European integration project.
"The progress for the core chapter group is important because it opened and closed the negotiations. We are focused on the objectives because we know what it takes to bring results. The Albanian public and citizens themselves will support this work that we are doing. It is important that integration be a project of the entire Albanian society. Every city, village and region should be included and that citizens understand. We will start a communication campaign to show why Albania will become a member state and what added value Albania will bring to the EU. We will conduct a survey and based on the findings we will build a campaign. My commitment will be to cooperate with the member states. My call to action is for the media to help us make Albania more known and appreciated in the member states, because this will make decision-making much easier."
