Meta: Always grateful for the special attention that His Holiness gave to the Albanian nation in difficult moments

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted to the passing of Pope Francis.

In a Facebook post, Meta said he will be "always grateful for the special attention, help and unsparing support that His Holiness gave to the Albanian nation in difficult moments," writes A2.

"Deeply saddened by the news of the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis, who will always be remembered with gratitude for the visionary leadership of the Catholic Church and humanity on the path of peace, love, solidarity, humanism, cooperation, dialogue and fraternity. Always grateful for the special attention, help and unsparing support that His Holiness gave to the Albanian nation in difficult moments, as well as in overcoming spiritual, social and economic challenges. The meeting and conversation with His Holiness will remain unforgettable for me. The precious and inspiring messages of Pope Francis to the people and in particular to the wonderful youth during his historic visit to Albania will remain unforgettable: "Eagles do not forget the nest, but fly high. Please keep them in their homeland and may Albania be saved from demographic winter. "Everything must be done to increase hope for our youth, because where there is youth, there is hope."
