The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani met in Brussels with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. He said the Alliance must react in unison, sending a clear message to any possible escalation in the Western Balkans.
Minister Hasani appreciated the acceptance of the EU proposal by the Kosovo authorities on the creation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities and urged the parties to engage in constructive dialogue, as the only guarantee for a long-term and stable peace.
According to him, Albania will continue to play a primary role in peace and security among all the neighboring countries of the region, while he appreciated the cooperation between KFOR, EULEX and the Kosovo police.
During his stay in Brussels, Hasani also held bilateral meetings with counterparts from member countries such as Turkey, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Denmark.
After the conclusion of the NATO ministerial, he will travel to Skopje to participate in the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Ministerial, on November 30 - December 1, 2023.
