Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha hosted today in a meeting the US Charge d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of security, as well as the contributions of the American side to strengthening the State Police and other law enforcement agencies.
At the meeting, which was also attended by diplomats accompanying Charge d'Affaires VanHorn, Hoxha made a presentation regarding the engagement of the Ministry of Interior structures in the framework of the upcoming electoral process on May 11, especially regarding the Civil Registry and the State Police.
In a post on social networks, Minister Hoxha emphasizes that "today I received the US Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, and the staff accompanying her, with whom I shared a fruitful conversation about bilateral relations and cooperation that is accompanied by increasing results. I informed Ms. VanHorn about the engagement of the structures of the Ministry of Interior, especially the Police and the GJC, in relation to the duties and responsibilities for the May 11 electoral process, as well as some data from the latest survey that measures the public's perception of security and the work of the Police."
During the meeting, the Minister of Interior specifically thanked the US representative for the extraordinary contribution that American agencies have made in strengthening and modernizing the State Police and other law enforcement agencies.
"I also had the opportunity to express my gratitude for the contribution of the American side and the partnership, especially for the State Police and other law enforcement agencies, in order to increase security for citizens in both countries," the minister emphasized. (A2 Televizion)
