Pandeli Majko, invited to the "Debat" studio with Alba Alishani, on A2 CNN, explained why he should be on the Socialist Party's open list for the May 11 elections.
"If I were on the closed list, the question that would be asked of me would be: Are you letting these young people gather votes for the Socialist Party? Personally, I would have preferred to be on the open list. These are not easy elections. The situation is not so rosy, I think it is a very delicate situation, due to an increased distance between politics and the public," said Majko.
"In 1992, I was not much different from these young people today. The important thing is that politics offers you the chance, offers you the leading role, and if you don't keep that leading role, you have to open your arms to someone else," added Pandeli Majko.
